Purpose
In the class on "forgiveness on neutral territory", I like to talk about that running dialog in our heads. It tends to be judging, critical, complaining and its not a great way to run our lives. We all have that voice, but we shouldn't let it determine our actions.
Materials
I read quotes from pages 17 to 19 of The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. He does a great job introducing that "voice in our heads." and explaining how to become aware of it and manage it.
Procedure
I read quotes from the book, explaining the inner voice, and how we can increase awareness of this voice, and how this empowers us to make better choices in our lives. I talk about how meditation helps us separate from that voice, increasing awareness that we are not that voice. We are more than that voice and we can choose to set it aside.
